The Grandness of Small Things

Who would have thought that the oak tree, one of the biggest trees, could come from just one acorn. The size of the acorn is amazingly small in contrast to the enormity of the oak tree. When we take in the view of a mighty oak tree, we see the manifestation of what was inside of the acorn. Everything the tree needed to grow was intricately designed inside of the little acorn.

I have come to learn through my own journey of building dreams, that in moving in the direction of them, that our most inner aspirations may come with small beginnings. Our potential lies within every plan, task, goal and intention to bring them into fruition. Sometimes, the waiting period and the in-between time may seem unnerving, and we may think that the details early on may not be making a difference or adding any value to the dream. But, oh, on the contrary, there is greatness there within the small beginnings and in the small steps of the dream.

Often, when we are razor focused on our dreams and momentum is there, it seems to be creeping along, and we will see and encounter the tiny and minute growth spurts that may appear as if nothing is happening. Each gift, every skill, every learned competency, and ongoing milestone is adding worth and value to the dream.

Have you ever heard the old adage, "good things come in small packages?" I have and I use this quote quite often as a motivational and empowering affirmation to push and launch me forward into my vision. It is a big reminder that there is grandness even in the small things. It's at the very core of me that each step that we make towards moving in the direction of our vision or in building the dream makes the difference.

Every beautiful house begins with a foundation and every nail, through the building process, has the potential to create what is on the blueprint and bring it into the big design it is intended to be: nail by nail and brick by brick. Something small in the building process is destined to bring forth the enormity of the dream.

The acorn is a prime example of great things coming from small things! There is a potency inside of the acorn. Don’t negate its size, for within the shell resides great potential which enough to produce over and beyond a 70-foot tree which goes on to produce millions of acorns. So, there is it!

There is worth inside of ONE acorn! Keep maximizing your potential for even in small beginnings there is potency. It's time to recognize that worth in your potential! Be Transformed!
